Why over 50, why me and why now?
I started my photography business after I turned 50 and even though I’ve been involved in art and design for a long time, this is my first photography project. I turn 61 this year and I wanted to create something very special as a gift for all women to enjoy.
I would love you to join me on this adventure to create 50 beautiful portraits of 50 women who share the common bond of being over 50.
Through the 50 OVER 50 project, we can…
- Show the world that beauty doesn’t diminish with age.
- Shine the light on our character, wisdom and spirit.
- Share stories about what it means to be an older woman in today’s world.
- Stand tall and appreciate every scar, every line and every grey hair (or purple one!)

Who can take part in the project?
I would love to photograph a wide variety of women for the project. Let’s create a tapestry of stunning images of women from different countries, of different shapes and sizes; women with different tastes, from different backgrounds and with different views and ways of life. The more diversity, colour and vibrancy, the better!
How much does it cost?:
I am offering the 50 OVER 50 for just $385 incl GST.
What you receive:
As one of my ‘50 OVER 50’ women, you will receive a wonderful package which includes:
- Pre-consultation with me to discuss how you want to be photographed, what outfits you would like to wear etc.
- Makeover – Hair and makeup on the day of the photoshoot (you will feel amazing!)
- Fully guided professional photo shoot that you will truly enjoy.
- A reviewing session where you can see all your beautiful photographs.
- Your photos of your choice or a video along with your story will be featured on social media.

The project will be promoted in many ways so you’ll need to be happy with…
- Being interviewed by me before and after the photoshoot about being a woman over 50. This may include video interviews.
- That interview may be shared on my website and social media.
- Before and After makeover photos to be shown.

50 Over 50 Project

Every decade of my life has brought something new. I grew up in Fukuoka, Japan. In my 20’s I worked as an international flight attendant and in hospitality before moving to Australia.
My 30’s were spent working in tourism on the Gold Coast before business studies took me to Sydney where I met my husband. With the 30’s came study leading to a web design business.
In my 40’s, a move to Brisbane was followed by becoming a Mum – my darling son is now 18.
I discovered photography in my 50’s and have been creating beautiful portraits for women and their families ever since.
I have enjoyed all the stages of my life. Now, in my 50’s I feel fortunate to have finally found my passion, what I really want to do for the rest of my life. I believe age does not prevent us from starting new things. In fact, you may be clear about what you want to do because you may have done a lot of things you didn’t want to do! I love being a part of someone’s life, even just for a moment – to capture a time when they are truly shining. I look forward to capturing your most beautiful essence right now, in this special over 50’s stage of your life.
